About Social Bug

Social Bug is about getting out and making connections with people of like interests or interesting people in a safe and small group setting. Our goal is to facilitate relationships for friendships. This is not a dating site but a friend finding site.

Why Social Bug?

Social Bug came into existence by acknowledging the need of people to socialize face-to-face more; and less through social media. The pandemic exacerbated the problem with of all of our in-person social interactions being limited. As a result, some of us still struggle with interacting with people and lost our social knack to do so. Social Bug has learned it is healthier and better for people to be in the company of people as we are social creatures. So, we decided to flip social media on its head. Social Bug uses social media to bring people together and not to keep them apart.

Social Bug is about bringing people together in small two-to-four-person group outings to meet new people and make friends. We know it’s hard to find your people and sometimes unsafe, so each group is matched with a Social Bug Engager. Our Engagers role is to facilitate a safe and fun outing for you. The Engager is everyone’s personal friend who introduces you to new friends throughout the outing. So, hopefully, you leave knowing some new people and possibly meeting your people for future outings.
