We know that getting out and meeting and making new friends is not as easy as it sounds. The awkwardness of meeting new people, beginning and holding conversations and sharing but not over sharing. OMG! We want to help you navigate those concerns and give you some practical social advise.

Social Bug understands that socializing is at its best when its safe. First, each of our Engagers goes through a thorough criminal background history check and a variety of references are surveyed before hiring for your comfort. Second, there are some precautions you can take on any social outing for safe fun. We wanted to provide you with a few general tips!
 

Socializing Tips for a Great Experience

  1. Smile

  2. Be confident

  3. Dress appropriate for the outing. If it’s too tight, it’s not right.

  4. Be yourself not your representative

  5. Make sure body language is welcoming not sexy

  6. Hold eye contact

  7. Listen actively

  8. Stay engaged in the conversation by asking questions or sharing related experiences

  9. Don’t interrupt others

  10. Be interesting to talk to

Safety Tips Before and During Outings

  1. Wait until you feel comfortable before sharing personal information such as phone numbers and personal address.

  2. Tell someone where you are going and share your location on a location app

  3. Meet in a public place

  4. Provide your own transportation

  5. Stay sober throughout event/outing

  6. Carry pepper spray or taser to protect yourself
